The film premieres at SXSW Sydney 2025, marking a significant milestone in his career. Previously, he directed the proof-of-concept short RED-CELL (2022) and Shutter (2023), which won Best Short at the Studs Short Film Fest and received nominations at the Vienna International Film Awards and the Horrific Hope Film Festival. His earlier short Lucas’ New Friend (2022) also received multiple nominations at Bond University’s BAFTA Film Competition. Alongside directing, Haruki has industry experience in post-production.
